Marc S. Eisenberg, MD is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Columbia University Medical Center and an Attending Physician at Columbia University Medical Center/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. He is a clinical cardiologist with expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease in adults; specializing in cardiac stress testing and echocardiography. He practices full-scope oral and maxillofacial surgery, with a particular interest in orthognathic surgery (corrective jaw surgery), craniofacial and cleft palate surgery, maxillofacial pathology and reconstruction and implant surgery, and pediatric oral and maxillofacial surgery. While training, he was recognized for his “exceptional warmth, compassion, and service to patients,” with numerous awards, including a coveted AOA Outstanding Resident Award, the Julius R. Krevans Award for Clinical Excellence, recognition as an exquisite provider as the Surgical Consultant of the Year, and was named a UCSF Medical Center Outstanding Physician Award finalist. Before his medical training at UCSF, he graduated from the University of Virginia, where he received both his MD, as well as a PhD for my doctoral research where the team identified and subsequently developed an immunologic therapy to target a key molecule involved in the metastatic migration of tumor cells. His undergraduate training was completed at Cornell University, where he was a Cornell Tradition & Francis S. Viele Fellow prior to graduating cum laude and with distinction. Dr. Debkumar Sarkar, DO, MBA, FSIR is a board-certified interventional radiologist. He is an assistant professor of radiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and an attending radiologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Sarkar serves as director of outpatient interventional radiology services for the Department of Radiology. Dr. Sarkar has extensive experience in interventional oncology and cancer diagnosis and treatment. He is locally and nationally renowned for treatment of metastatic tumors in the liver, lung, and kidneys. Dr. Sarkar has extensive experience with minimally invasive techniques including Y90 radioembolization, microwave ablation, cryoablation, and histotripsy for primary and metastatic cancers including hepatocellular carcinoma, colon cancer, and metastatic breast cancer. In addition to cancer therapy, Dr. Sarkar brings expertise in the treatment of venous disorders including deep venous thrombosis, venous thromboembolism, and vascular insufficiency. Dr. Sarkar has extensive experience treating complex biliary disorders and performs cholangioscopy. He is also very experienced in women’s health treatments for pelvic pain related to fibroids and pelvic congestion syndrome. He is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology and the Society of Interventional Oncology where he serves on several national committees including the SIR Economics committee and the expert consensus panel for management of pulmonary embolism.
