Minghao Liu, M.D. is a general endocrinologist with expertise in transgender health and bone mineral metabolism disorders. She obtained her undergraduate education at Yale University (graduating magna cum laude) and her medical education at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She completed an internal medicine residency at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein School of Medicine, followed by an endocrine fellowship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University, where her research focused on primary hyperparathyroidism and osteoporosis. She currently serves as the Director of the Transgender Program in our division and is dedicated to partnering with each patient to achieve their goals for gender expression. She also sees patients for endocrine conditions including osteoporosis, primary hyperparathyroidism, hypo/hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules, adrenal gland disorders, pituitary disorders, obesity and type 2 diabetes mellitus. Dr. Liu practices evidence-based medicine.
