Corey K Bradley, MD

Dr. Bajakian comes to Columbia from Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, where she was Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery. She earned her MD degree in 1996 at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn. She completed her internship and general surgery residency at Mount Sinai (1996-2001), her vascular surgery fellowship at New York University Medical Center (2002-2003), and a mini-fellowship focusing on endovascular surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in 2003. Her clinical specialties include endovascular techniques for treating peripheral arterial disease, aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease, and lower extremity venous insufficiency. Her research interests focus on novel techniques for restoring circulation to the ischemic limb including angioplasty, atherectomy, and stent placement.

Dr. Chantel Strachan is a board-certified internal medicine physician and a headache specialist. She attended the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, a combined Bachelor of Science and doctorate program, and subsequently received her medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine. Dr. Strachan completed her residency in Primary Care Internal Medicine at The University of Connecticut, where she served as Chief Medical Resident. She then went on to complete a fellowship in Headache and Facial Pain at the Hartford Healthcare Headache Center. It was there she fostered a strong interest in headache medicine education and patient advocacy. She is expert in administering Botox injections for chronic migraine, as well as administration of nerve block and trigger point injections. Dr. Strachan is passionate about preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and wellness. She takes pride in empowering patients to take charge of their health. A native New Yorker, she is a self-proclaimed foodie, who enjoys trying different cultural foods. She also enjoys dancing, baking, DIY Projects, and spending time with family and friends.

Philip George, MD is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Columbia University. He is a board-certified general surgeon who is fellowship-trained in minimally invasive and robotic general surgery. During his residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center, he was elected chief resident and was awarded the prestigious Arthur Aufses Jr. Award for his dedication to surgical research, resident teaching, and excellence in patient care. Dr. George then underwent fellowship training in minimally invasive anti-reflux and hernia surgery at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, Maryland. His unique fellowship training has made him skillful in advanced minimally invasive anti-reflux and hernia repair techniques. These include tissue flap repair of hiatal hernias, transversus abdominis release (TAR), enhanced view totally extraperitoneal hernia repairs (eTEP), and robotic total abdominal wall reconstruction of massive ventral incisional hernias. Prior to accepting the prestigious position at the Columbia Hernia Center, Dr. George worked in central New Jersey, specializing in advanced hernia repair techniques. His research in the field has been presented at national meetings as well as published in peer-reviewed journals. He is also an active member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES). Dr. George offers patients unparalleled communication all while focusing on having the best outcomes possible.
