Buffalo Launch Club, formed in 1903, was one of the first powerboat clubs in North America. The club sponsored speedboat regattas, which attracted the top boat drivers in the world. The Buffalo Launch Club participated in area boating activities and established a reputation as one of the finest boating clubs on the Niagara Frontier. The facilities offered by the club includes family fun activities, bar, dining room and banquet facilities, picnic grove with horseshoe pits, swimming pools, tennis and volleyball courts, 86 Slip Marina, permanent and transient dockage, water front picnic area and club cruises. The club is located in Grand Island, N.Y.
