Welcome to the Buffalo Yacht Club On the eastern shore of Lake Erie, at the head of the mighty Niagara River, sits the Buffalo Yacht Club, comprised of an active group of Western New York men and women who enjoy a historic clubhouse with beautiful and comfortable dining rooms and lounge, quality boating facilities in both US and Canada, and a year-round program of activities blending both family events and member parties. Affordable, yet selective, the Club provides members, their families, and their guests facilities for leisure time activities and entertainment. The Buffalo Yacht Club is the only twelve-month, private yacht club that enjoys two locations in two countries and is said to be the 3rd oldest yacht club in America, being formed in 1860. The Buffalo Yacht Club is a private membership organization with a Sec. 501 ( c ) ( 7 ) Federal tax exemption.
