Blake Christianson, M.D. is a radiologist specializing in Breast Imaging. He then completed a one-year fellowship in Breast and Oncologic Imaging at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center from 2023 to 2024. Dr. Christianson joined the faculty at Weill Cornell Medicine in August 2024 as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology.Dr. Christianson’s clinical expertise is within Breast and Body Imaging. He interprets a variety of studies, including mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and body CT. He performs interventional breast procedures guided with imaging, including stereotactic biopsies, ultrasound-guided biopsies, MRI-guided biopsies, and preoperative radioactive seed localization.His research interests include resident and fellow education and optimizing breast screening within our diverse population. There he worked with pioneers to learn advanced forms of pain management and minimally invasive treatments including injection therapies, vertebral augmentation/spacers, novel stimulation based therapies, and intrathecal pump therapy. Further, his training with world experts in palliative care, neurology, headache medicine, sports medicine, psychiatry, pediatrics and oncology allows him to provide a truly multidisciplinary approach to each person’s unique journey with chronic pain. Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Jotwani actively researches the intersection of pain management and technology, particularly exploring virtual reality applications for chronic pain treatment and medical education. He also serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Medical Extended Reality. Dr. Jotwani research has been funded by Bodyswaps/Meta, the ACGME, and the Nanette Laitman foundation.
