Avani Baral, M.D.

Blake Christianson, M.D. is a radiologist specializing in Breast Imaging. He is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Assistant Attending Radiologist at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Campus.Dr. Christianson graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology where he earned his Bachelor of Science in 2014. He then received his M.D. at the Medical College of Georgia in 2018, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.Following an transitional internship at Gwinnett Medical Center from 2018 to 2019, Dr. Christianson completed residency training in Diagnostic Radiology from 2019 to 2023 at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine. He then completed a one-year fellowship in Breast and Oncologic Imaging at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center from 2023 to 2024. Dr. Christianson joined the faculty at Weill Cornell Medicine in August 2024 as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology.Dr. Christianson’s clinical expertise is within Breast and Body Imaging. He interprets a variety of studies, including mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and body CT. He performs interventional breast procedures guided with imaging, including stereotactic biopsies, ultrasound-guided biopsies, MRI-guided biopsies, and preoperative radioactive seed localization.His research interests include resident and fellow education and optimizing breast screening within our diverse population. Jessica Patel, M.D. is a fellowship-trained radiologist with specialization in Cardiothoracic and Abdominal Imaging. She is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Assistant Attending Radiologist at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Campus.Dr. Patel graduated from University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida where she earned her B.S in Biomedical Sciences in 2013 and where she earned her M.D in 2016. Following a transitional internship at Beaumont Hospital in Michigan, Dr. Patel completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Mount Sinai West, New York in 2021.She completed her fellowship in Cardiothoracic and Abdominal Imaging at NewYork Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine in 2022. Dr. Patel joined the faculty at Weill Cornell Medicine in August 2022 as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology, as a member of the Cardiothoracic and Body Imaging Divisions.

Larry Latson, M.D., M.S. attended graduate school at Case Western Reserve University, earning an M.S. in biomedical engineering in August 2001, and attended medical school at Case Western Reserve University from 2003 through 2007. He then completed a preliminary year of internal medicine training at Morristown Memorial Hospital, from 2007 through 2008, where he was voted the Outstanding Preliminary Resident by the faculty, before his residency in diagnostic radiology and fellowship in Cardiothoracic Imaging at Albert Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY, from 2008 through 2013. He was voted the Milton Elkin Outstanding Graduating Resident by the faculty in his final year of radiology training.After fellowship, Dr. Latson joined the faculty at the NYU School of Medicine in the Department of Radiology in 2013, where he was a member of both the cardiac and thoracic imaging services through August 2021, serving as a Clinical Associate Professor of Radiology and the Associate Section Chief of the Cardiac Imaging Section. He was voted as the Emil J. Balthazar Teacher of the Year in 2017 and 2021.In September 2021, he joined the Division of Cardiothoracic Imaging at Weill Cornell Medicine. His clinical areas of interest include CT and MR imaging of adults and children with congenital heart disease.
