Woodcrest Commons is an assisted living facility that offers a variety of health care services for senior citizens. The facility is owned and operated by DePaul, which is a private, nonprofit organization that serves people with developmental disabilities and mental illnesses. Founded in 1958 as a child guidance center, DePaul offers residential, rehabilitation and treatment services in more than 15 counties in New York and North Carolina. The organization operates over 2,500 beds and serves nearly 5,000 individuals. It provides social, educational, respite care, support and transportation services. The organization offers a range of recreational opportunities that includes trips to malls, concerts, movie shows, museums and local sports events. DePaul operates a T-shirt factory that employs individuals with mental health diagnosis who reside in Monroe County in New York.
