You want to do something fun. I highly recommend climbing the tortugas observatory mountain especially if you into hiking. It takes about an hour to climb less if you an export. Beautiful sunset...

One of Las Cruces scenic views. It's best to visit before sunset as one can see the horizon. The Monte Vista Hiking Trail Parking Lot is small, so one may need to arrive early to secure a spot....
