Owned and operated by Chef Mark Kiffin, winner of the James Beard award for Best Chef of the Southwest 2005, celebrates his 25th anniversary of ownership in 2025. In 2022, Michelin-trained Executive Chef, Weston Ludeke, joined the team. Chef Weston has continued Kiffin’s legacy of ever-changing seasonal menus, pairing them with the same French technique and philosophy for which The Compound is known. The Compound was awarded the James Beard Best Outstanding Restaurant Finalist in 2024, the DiRona Award of Excellence Distinguished Restaurants of North America in 2024, the AAA Four Diamond Award in 2024, and the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for the 4th year in a row in 2024. The New York Times, Gourmet magazine, and The Wall Street Journal selected the Compound as Santa Fe's favorite.
