Space Murals Museum
The Space Murals Museum in Las Cruces, NM, is a unique attraction that features a 1,200,000-gallon water tank adorned with murals illustrating the evolution of the U.S. space program up until the tragic Challenger disaster. Visitors can also explore a 1/8 scale replica of the Challenger Shuttle, a V-2 rocket, and a variety of artifacts related to space exploration.
In addition to the eye-catching murals, the museum offers a 6,000 square-foot exhibition space filled with donated artifacts, photographs, and articles showcasing the history of space travel. A small gift shop provides themed merchandise, and while entry is free, donations are welcome to support the museum's mission.
