David Chen, MD is a member of Summit Healths Family Medicine team. Dr. Chen provides comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages, with a special interest in preventive care. His services include womens health care, pediatrics, preventive health maintenance, primary care for patients with developmental and physical disabilities, minor surgical procedures, and sports medicine. Dr. Chen provides compassionate, empathetic, and informative care during each visit. His patients enjoy his ability to listen, explain details of their specific condition(s), and compose comprehensive treatment plans to ensure the best possible health outcome.Prior to joining Summit Health, Dr. Chen was Co-founder and Medical Director of Family Medical Care of Clifton. He is actively involved with community education in conjunction with the Clifton Health Department and teaches residents and medical students at Mountainside Hospitals Family Medicine residency program. Dr. Chen was featured in New Jersey Monthly Top Doctors listing for 2018. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys spending his free time with his wife, two sons and dog.

Brian Schactman, MD, specializes in internal medicine.Dr. Schactman has practiced with New Jersey Physicians since 1998. At New Jersey Physicians, he has been Principal Investigator and Subinvestigator for trials involving novel treatments for a wide range of diseases.Dr. Schactman has worked with the American Managed Care and Review Association, where he participated in developing the Utilization Review and Accreditation Commission to promote health care quality through accreditation and certification programs.Dr. Schactman says, "My interest in life science grew to include my desire to help others lead healthy lives. I am particularly interested in the role diet and exercise have on long-term disease outcomes."Dr. Schactman is a fellow of the American College of physicians. He is a recipient of the Haskel Schiff Award for Excellence in Clinical Medicine. During medical school, Dr. Schactman was a Joseph Collins Foundation Scholar, Southern Medical Association Scholar, Hoak Scholar, and AH Robbins Scholar. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society, and Sigma Zeta National Honor Science Society.When he is not working with his patients, Dr. Schactman enjoys spending time with his family and running. He has completed 12 marathons, 6 ultra marathons, and 3 Ragnar relays.

Cornelio J. Porras, MD, FACP, FCCP, specializes in pulmonary diseases. Dr. Porras's expertise includes asthma, lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and smoking-related lung diseases such as emphysema.A Former United States Army Major, Dr. Porras practiced in internal medicine at Watson Army Hospital at Fort Dix, New Jersey. He joined New Jersey Physicians in 1996.Dr. Porras is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and American College of Chest Physicians. He is a recipient of the Army Meritorious Service Achievement Medal. He has also been featured in New Jersey Monthly "Top Doctors" listings.When he is not working with his patients, Dr. Porras enjoys spending time with his family, being outside, hiking, traveling, and playing golf.
