The Spring Mountains National Recreation Area, often referred to as Mount Charleston, is a stunning destination located just outside of Las Vegas, NV, offering year-round recreational activities. Beautiful exhibits at the Gateway Ranger Station. Free picnic area up 158, it's called Sawmill Picnic area. The Gateway Ranger Station has a free map with all the different places you can camp too.
