Benson High School

Founded in 1904, Benson High School is one of the oldest high schools in Nebraska. It enrolls over 1,500 students in grades 9 through 12 and offers a variety of academic and recreational programs. The school conducts classes in English, math, science and social studies, as well as in art, music and physical education. It also provides vocational training in agriculture, business education, family and consumer science and industrial technology. Benson High School employs a librarian, speech pathologist, psychologist, nurse, teachers and support staff members. It has various facilities, such as a science classroom wing, an auditorium, gymnasium, student commons area and a football field. The school participates in the National Aeronautics and Space Administration s Student Launch Initiative program. Benson High School is located in Omaha, Neb.
