The company began when Dr. Katie Rodan and Dr. Kathy Fields became best friends during their dermatology residency at Stanford University School of Medicine. In addition to acne treatments, the company offers products for anti-aging, blemish treatments, skin moisturizing and enhancing. Rodan & Fields became the first prestige skincare line to exit the department store for the world of direct selling. The company is headquartered in San Francisco.
