Thomas Bemis, MD

Kelly Gast, MD, is a fellowship-trained and board-certified hematology oncologist. Dr Gast believes excellent cancer care requires personalized treatment. She develops an individualized care plan for each patient focused on treating the whole person.

Verda Hicks, MD, is a fellowship-trained gynecological oncologist with Saint Luke’s Cancer Specialists. Dr Hicks has extensive training treating preinvasive vulvar, vaginal, and cervical disease. She is passionate about cancer prevention, especially types of cancer that can be prevented with vaccination, such as cervical, vaginal, vulvar, anal, and head and neck cancers. She also has interest in genetic counseling and testing for patients at risk for familial cancers of breast, uterus, ovary, and colon. Dr Hicks is committed to her patient's needs during chemotherapy, as well as post-chemotherapy follow-up and survivorship. A woman's needs during and post-chemotherapy care are unique and sometimes require specialized support.

Whitney Hensing, MD, is a fellowship-trained and board-certified hematology oncologist. Dr Hensing develops a personalized plan to fit each patient’s specific breast cancer, medical history, and treatment goals. During her fellowship at Washington University and Siteman Cancer Center, Dr Hensing developed a multicenter phase 1 clinical trial using a unique drug combination in patients with HER2 altered tumors. She was awarded the Young Investigator Award in breast cancer disparities research from the ASCO Conquer Cancer Foundation. Dr Hensing’s clinical interests include clinical trials and developing new targeted therapies for patients with breast cancer.
