Operation Breakthrough

Operation Breakthrough is one of the leading child care agencies in the united states. Based in Kansas City, mo., it has been operational for more than 45 years. A nonprofit organization, it provides a wide variety of services, such as group and emergency shelter care, adoption and foster care, crisis intervention, search and reunion services, and family, group and individual counseling and therapy services. Approved by the Council on Accreditation for Children and Family Services, the agency also provides education and support services for teenagers and first-time mothers, single parents, intergenerational and extended families, runaway and throwaway teens, at-risk youth, and developmentally, emotionally and medically challenged children. Additionally, Operation Breakthrough supports industrial schools, juvenile court systems, child labor laws and Missouri Department of Welfare.
