Children's Center Campus

Children's Center for the Visually Impaired offers various programs and services to prepare children with visual impairments, including those with multiple disabilities, to function at their highest potential. It enrolls more than 220 children in its preschool, kindergarten, infant and itinerant, and consults programs. The center offers a playground, cafeteria, gymnasiums, therapy pools and meeting rooms. It has more than four preschool and kindergarten classrooms, each with an observation room, an infant program suite with a black-light room, and therapy spaces for speech, occupational and physical therapies and Braille studies. The center has a staff of Braille instructors, orientation and mobility specialists and therapists who are experienced in the field of vision, and provide expertise in planning, developing and implementing education programs that address all aspects of the child s development.
