Mercy Diabetes and Nutrition Center - Warrenton

Dr. Smith is board certified in family medicine. After earning his medical degree at Des Moines University in Iowa, Dr. Smith completed his internship and residency at the Naval Hospital at Camp Pendleton in California in 2000. He was on the faculty there and a practicing Navy physician until joining SSM in Warrenton in 2006. Dr. Smith has a special medical interest in chronic disease management including diabetes, high blood pressure, and cardiovascular diseases.

Kristina 'Krissy' Boylan, APRN-CNP, is a certified family nurse practitioner who specializes in family medicine, providing preventative and acute care services for patients of all ages. She offers her patients wellness visits, chronic disease management, and acute problem management. She also addresses obesity and mental health issues her patients may be experiencing. Krissy works to educate her patients, focusing on disease prevention. She highlights the benefits of a healthier lifestyle, while encouraging her patients to take a more active role in managing their overall health. She went into healthcare to help people and make a difference in patients' lives, believing that the reward from helping others is indescribable.

Dr. Wiewel is board certified in family medicine. She completed her internship and residency at the University of North Carolina—Chapel Hill after earning her medical degree at Loyola University in Chicago. Dr. Wiewel has been awarded recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Diabetes Physician Recognition Program for meeting national standards for diabetes care. She began practicing with SSM Health Medical Group in O’Fallon in 2006. Dr. Wiewel values the relationships established as a family medicine physician. She has a special medical interest in preventive health care.
