Laura Grant, APRN-CNP

Matt Bruns is a board-certified orthopedic nurse practitioner with SSM Health Orthopedics who specializes in helping people manage their bone health. He has more than 20 years of clinical experience in treating patients with bone health concerns. Matt sees women and men of all ages including athletes who are at risk for osteoporosis or fragility fracture and works with their medical providers to determine the type of treatment needed. Some patients can improve bone health with nutrition and therapy, whereas other patients also may need medication. Matt works with a multidisciplinary team of medical doctors, surgeons, nurses, nutritionists, and occupational and physical therapists who can assist, if needed, to determine the best treatment.

Katie Schaefer, AGPCNP-BC, is an adult-gerontology nurse practitioner, who specializes in diagnosing and treating digestive disorders in adult patients ages 18 and older. Her areas of expertise include gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and ulcerative colitis (UC). As a patient-centered practitioner, Katie takes the time to get to know her patients, so she can better understand their needs and provide the proper care to address their medical issues. She coordinates care management with her colleagues to ensure her patients receive an accurate diagnosis, optimum treatment, and ongoing support to help them navigate better navigate their condition and improve quality of life.
