Katana Mischelle Boyd, FNP

I was born and raised in Southeast Missouri, so I'm very excited to be a part of Mercy and give back to my hometown community. As a family medicine provider, I'm able to see people of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics. I love being a nurse practitioner because I get to form long-term relationships with my patients, which often leads to a higher standard of care.

As a nurse practitioner, I have time to sit down and talk with patients about their health concerns and goals. Looking at a treatment plan together, we can figure out ways to achieve their goals. Building a rapport and relationship with my patients is very important to me and to them.

I love getting to know people throughout their lifespans and being there for them every step of the way. Prevention is one of my clinical interests. I like talking with patients about screenings and other steps they can take to prevent illness. It's the best way to live a healthy life.
