William M. Engasser, MD

Owen O’Neill, MD, grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota. He graduated from St. Thomas before it became a university. He received his medical degree from Mayo Medical School in Rochester, Minnesota, and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Mayo Clinic. He went on to do a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland. He has attained a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine and continues to pursue training in the newest orthopedic techniques. Dr. O’Neill is married with two teenage sons who keep him on his toes both on the golf course and on the ski slopes. Edward Kelly, MD, MBA, joined Twin Cities Orthopedics in 2002. He specializes in arthritic, traumatic, and sports injuries to the shoulder, elbow and knee. He is trained in the Tenex Health TX procedure. Dr. Kelly has published several papers and is fellowship trained in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder and elbow. He has a certificate of added qualifications in sports medicine and has served as a faculty member for the MOSMI Sports Medicine fellowship program since 2009. Dr. Kelly also serves as the lead team physician for the University of St. Thomas men’s and women’s athletic teams. Certified by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, he has pioneered various sports medicine surgical techniques and is committed to research having published and authored numerous textbooks and over 100 articles in peer reviewed journals.
