Caroline Chen, MD

Owen O’Neill, MD, grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota. He graduated from St. Thomas before it became a university. He received his medical degree from Mayo Medical School in Rochester, Minnesota, and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Mayo Clinic. He went on to do a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland. He has attained a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine and continues to pursue training in the newest orthopedic techniques. Dr. O’Neill is married with two teenage sons who keep him on his toes both on the golf course and on the ski slopes. Dr. Christie Heikes, MD, is a board certified orthopedic surgeon and fellowship trained in sports medicine. Her surgical interests focus on athletic injuries including knee arthroscopy, minimally invasive ACL reconstruction, revision ACL reconstruction, meniscal surgery, pediatric sports medicine, and disorders of the patellofemoral (knee cap) joint.

Loren N. Vorlicky, MD, has a subspecialty certification in sports medicine. His areas of practice include orthopedic trauma and total joint replacement of the knee, hip and shoulder. He is experienced in complicated procedures, allowing his patients to return to their regular lifestyle. As a professional philosophy, Dr. Vorlicky is dedicated to improving health care. Over time he believes we can bend the cost curve and reduce the costs of healthcare, while actually improving the overall quality of health care. He stays on top of the latest trends in the industry by teaching in the residency program at the University of Minnesota Medical School and is a current board member at Twin Cities Orthopedics.
