A Chance To Grow
A Chance to Grow, based in Minneapolis, is a nonprofit agency that assists children with learning problems, developmental delays and brain injuries. The institution offers a range of programs, such as the New Visions School, a public charter school, consisting kindergarten through seventh grade, that has an enrollment of more than 200 children. The school is one of the few in the state to qualify for the Federally-sponsored Reading First program. A Chance to Grow also offers home-based services to children and young adults in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area who have serious brain injuries and developmental delays. The institution operates an outpatient rehabilitation clinic that offers speech and language, occupational and physical therapies to clients. The clinic also offers neurophysiological rehabilitation services, including evaluation of a child's neurological and physiological well being by assessing visual, auditory and tactile systems and mobility, language and manual dexterity.
