The Montcalm Center for Behavioral Health is a community mental health authority serving Montcalm County, Michigan. We provide services and supports for people with serious and persistent mental illness, developmental disabilities, and children with severe emotional disturbances. In addition, we provide emergency services to anyone in the community, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Established in 1966, EightCAP is a nonprofit, community-based organization that offers a range of services to promote the health, education and welfare of individuals and families. It serves the residents of Gratiot, Ionia, Isabella and Montcalm counties in Michigan. The organization provides housing, weatherization, rental assistance, literacy and food programs. EightCAP administers the Child and Adult Care Food Program, which includes nutritious meals and snacks for children. It operates the Threshold Academy, which offers a nurturing program that features educational and social development services for children. The organization also conducts the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP), which includes energy conservation services, such as ventilation and wall and foundation insulation for low-income homeowners and renters.
