The Everett C. Benton Library is an independent community library located in Belmont, MA, and has been run by the Friends of the Benton Library since 2011. Supported entirely by donations and operated by volunteers, the library boasts over 7,500 cataloged books, including a wide selection for children and young adults.
Temporarily closed beginning November 2023, the library plans to offer children's services through the Belmont Public Library during the two-year rebuilding of a new facility. The Friends of the Benton Library will remain active during this period, continuing to engage the community through various activities and maintaining their commitment to providing access to literature and educational resources.
