Broadway, 4th floor, Baltimore, MD 21205Appointment Number: 443-923-9400Christina Kokorelis, M.D., is a rehabilitation physician specializing in pediatric and adult postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), orthostatic intolerance and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. She takes a comprehensive, team-based approach to patient care. Dr. Kokorelis also treats children with concussions and chronic pain disorders.An assistant professor in the Johns Hopkins Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, where she completed her residency, Dr. Kokorelis followed the residency with a pediatric rehabilitation fellowship at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and the Kennedy Krieger Institute. During her residency, she served as chief resident and won the Johns Hopkins Healer Award twice, as well as the Frank L. Coulson Jr. Resident Award for Clinical Excellence. Her research interests include pediatric POTS, neurally mediated hypotension (NMH), spinal cord injuries and assistive technologies.

Dr. Akhil Chhatre is an assistant professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation and neurological surgery at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is director of spine rehabilitation at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Chhatre sees and treats adults with a wide range of spinal diseases and disorders, including neck and low back pain, lumbar and cervical degenerative disease, scoliosis, spinal stenosis, facet joint disease, whiplash syndrome, sacroiliac and appendicular skeletal joint disease, and peripheral neuropathy. He has a special interest in helping patients regain function and reduce pain using non-surgical techniques and performing pain-reducing medicinal procedures, including steroid injections, nerve blocks and radiofrequency denervation. He received his medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine and completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Kansas Medical Center School of Allied Health. He performed his fellowship in interventional spine and sports medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Previously, Dr. Chhatre worked as an interventional spine and sports fellow at the Hospitals of the University of Pennsylvania after completing a residency in physical medicine & rehabilitation at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Chhatre is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, the International Spine Intervention Society, and the North American Spine Society. Daniel Sova, M.D., is a rehabilitation physician specializing in adult and pediatric pain and musculoskeletal conditions such as arthritis, bursitis, radiculopathy, neuropathy, myofascial pain and degenerative disc disease. He uses a range of therapies, including joint injections and interventional image-guided pain management procedures.Dr. Sova is an assistant professor in the Johns Hopkins Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, where he completed his residency, followed by an interventional pain fellowship with the Johns Hopkins Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Sova’s research interests include pediatric neuropathic and musculoskeletal pain, quality improvement and resident education.
