CHANGE is a private, nonprofit organization that has provided services to people with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities since 1969. The organization supports and serves more than 160 people through three major programs: day habilitation services, including assistance with activities of daily living, elementary communication and mobility skills and personal care in a small group environment; vocational services, consisting of supported employment and sheltered workshop environments that give participants an opportunity to learn valuable skills and earn a paycheck; and support services, which are for children and adults, and their families, to help them maintain their independence in the community. CHANGE is located in Westminster, Md.

The Providence Center provides treatment and support services to adults and children affected with psychiatric illnesses, emotional problems and addictions. It maintains a staff of specialized behavior health care professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, vocational and rehabilitation counselors, case managers and residential advisors. The center is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitative Facilities. It provides intensive services for children with serious behavior and emotional problems to prevent psychiatric hospitalization and out-of-home placement. The center also offers individual and group therapy and family counseling services to adolescents who have mental health and substance abuse problems. In addition, it provides child day care staff training and consulting services. The Providence Center has been operational since 1969.

Founded in 1961, the Providence Center provides a variety of services for individuals with disabilities. The center serves more than 450 adults in over seven locations throughout Anne Arundel County, Md. It offers vocational training, sheltered and supported employment, job development and placement, adult day care, senior citizen retirement support and in-home services. Located in Glen Burnie, Md., the Providence Center supports various leisure and recreational programs. The center additionally operates an art institute that provides professional and integrated instruction in visual and performing arts. In addition, it operates a resource center that features a range of programs that include instruction and opportunities in special interest, daytime entertaining activities and excursions. The resource center also houses individual support services and community supported living arrangement programs.
