Maine Yoga Kids

History

Maine Yoga Kids got its start when a preschool teacher discovered she could combine her life's greatest joys: practicing yoga and working with children. She started by offering family classes at the school where she was teaching, and immediately saw a great need for children's yoga in the area. She began teaching more classes at schools, community centers, parks and yoga studios all over Southern Maine. The business was completely mobile until 2016, when Maine Yoga Kids found it's permanent home at the Rosemont Studio Collective in Portland's West End. We now offer a full schedule of classes at the studio in addition to our mobile outreach programs in schools and community centers.

Specialties

Maine Yoga Kids specializes in yoga for young people and their caregivers. Our goal is to make yoga accessible and fun for all ages and abilities. We offer group classes, private instruction for children and adults, therapeutic yoga for children with special needs, birthday parties, and workshops for parents and teachers.
