Central Louisiana Area Health Education Center

Central Louisiana AHEC is a non-profit, community based agency that works with a volunteer advisory board of local health care professionals, community leaders, educators and citizens. We offer a variety of education based services to meet the needs of health care providers and consumers in the 17-parish region that we serve.

The Southwest Louisiana Area Health Education Center, also known as SWLAHEC, is a community-based agency that offers a range of health care programs and services. The center provides health care promotion, wellness awareness, clinical support and medical staff recruitment services. It offers information, educational and disease presentation services. The center administers various grants and contracts to coordinate, implement and evaluate health care programs. The Southwest Louisiana Area Health Education Center is a member of the the National Area Health Education Center Organization.
