Norton Children’s Medical Group – Pleasure Ridge Park offers comprehensive "just for kids" pediatric care for infants through adolescents. Our board-certified pediatricians provide well-child checkups, immunizations, developmental screenings, sports and school phsyicals and management of chronic conditions. We also offer guidance on breastfeeding, childproofing, safe sleeping methods, and potty-training. Conveniently situated in the Pleasure Ridge Park area, our pediatricians provide same-day sick appointments and extended hours. New patients are welcome. Thomas C. Hubbs, M.D., is a pediatrician with Norton Children’s Medical Group. He earned his medical degree at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where he also completed his pediatrics residency. Dr. Hubbs enjoys building relationships with families, being part of his patients’ lives from the very beginning and helping families navigate the joyful moments and the challenges that come with raising children. Dr. Hubbs believes that pediatric care involves embracing the entire family, understanding their unique situations and working together to create the best possible outcomes. Known for his creativity in connecting with kids, Dr. Hubbs often engages them by talking about their favorite sports teams or complimenting a 3-year-old’s shoes, making visits fun and less intimidating. In his free time, Dr. Hubbs enjoys spending time with his four children, traveling to watch and participate in their sports activities. He also likes cycling and hiking with his wife.

John W. Kim, M.D., is a pediatrician with Norton Children’s Medical Group. He earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where he also completed his pediatrics residency. Dr. Kim chose pediatrics because he enjoys working with kids and values the opportunity to make a positive impact on people’s lives every day. He understands that visiting the doctor can be intimidating for children, so he focuses on creating a comfortable and safe environment during their visits. He makes it a priority to address children first, engaging them in conversation so they feel at ease and begin building trust with him. When meeting families for the first time, Dr. Kim ensures that parents and caregivers know their child is receiving authentic, compassionate care. In his free time, Dr. Kim volunteers at his church’s youth program and serves on the mission committee, partnering with local organizations such as Kentucky Refugee Ministries and Highland Community Ministries to help those in need.
