John W. Kim, M.D., is a pediatrician with Norton Children’s Medical Group. He earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where he also completed his pediatrics residency. Dr. Kim chose pediatrics because he enjoys working with kids and values the opportunity to make a positive impact on people’s lives every day. He understands that visiting the doctor can be intimidating for children, so he focuses on creating a comfortable and safe environment during their visits. He makes it a priority to address children first, engaging them in conversation so they feel at ease and begin building trust with him. In his free time, Dr. Kim volunteers at his church’s youth program and serves on the mission committee, partnering with local organizations such as Kentucky Refugee Ministries and Highland Community Ministries to help those in need.
