Dr. S. Roy Hegde is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with a subcertification in cardiovascular disease. He completed a fellowship at The University of Texas. He earned his medical degree from Karnatak Medical College and completed his residency at Lutheran Hospital of Maryland, Inc. His personal philosophy is medicine is not just a science, but it is an 'Art' of delivery that, makes the difference! First comes the patient and their problem recognition, then there is the Art of catering to their needs, using science as our guide. It is a team approach, where nursing and consumers play pivotal role in the process.

Ashley Simmons, MD was named medical director of The University of Kansas Hospital's Adelaide C. Ward Women's Heart Health Center, the gateway to women's heart health services, when it opened in 2012. In addition to specializing in women's heart disease, Dr. Simmons' clinical focus includes echocardiography, cardiac CT and MRI, and clinical/consultative/diagnostic cardiology. Dr. Simmons completed her undergraduate work at the University of Kansas, Lawrence, where she received honors in biology. She was a member of the National Golden Key Honor Society and the Pi Beta Phi fraternity for women and was named to Pi Beta Phi's 4.0 Honor Roll and chaired several committees within the fraternity. Dr. Sharon Ben-Or is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. She earned her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine and completed her residency in general surgery at Lankenau Hospital and her residency in cardiothoracic surgery at the University of North Carolina Hospitals.
