Galleries Downtown

The Chait Galleries Downtown was founded in 2003 and is the first of its kind in the Iowa City area. Located in a historically preserved building built in the late 1800's, the Chait Galleries is in the heart of a community that includes many fine restaurants, specialty retail stores and the vibrant University of Iowa Campus. The Chait Galleries is a full service gallery supporting all the visual arts. The gallery is brimming with original works of exceptional local, national and international artists and photographers. We provide a diverse and extensive inventory of art for the discriminating collector and first time buyer. Additionally we provide expert assistance in a range of services, whether it would be assisting you in the selection of art, to conservation framing and restoration, delivery and installation or custom photography.
