Founded in 1939, Wauconda Area Library is located in Wauconda, Ill. The public library offers a collection of more than 120,000 books, periodicals, databases and videos. It houses a range of DVDs, CDs and audio recordings. It organizes various cultural and educational programs for adults, including field trips and food and gardening programs. The library also operates a children s department that serves children in prekindergarten through grade five. In addition, it houses 35,000 books and audiovisual items for children. It organizes various programs for children, including games, story sessions and craft activities. The library also organizes film festivals and art exhibitions. Wauconda Area Library s 27,500-square-foot facility includes meeting rooms for tutoring and public meetings.
