The Forest Preserve District of Kane County has been dedicated to preserving and restoring the natural areas of Kane County since 1925. With over 23,000 acres of woodlands, wetlands, and prairies, the district offers a variety of recreational activities, including hiking, camping, fishing, and horseback riding, aimed at enhancing the quality of life for all residents.

In celebration of its 100th anniversary in 2025, the district invites the community to participate in conservation efforts, including tree sponsorships and special events.
