Peer Foods is on the cutting edge of mass customization. It manufactures and distributes a variety of meat products, including bacon, beef, ham, other pork, poultry and sausage to the food service industry. Employee-owned Peer Foods uses traditional natural hickory and hardwood cooking methods to prepare its smoked and roasted meats. Peer also has a culinary center that develops restaurant menus. Along with its 95,000 square foot facility in Chicago, Peer also has a plant in Columbus, Ind., with 130,000 square feet of operation space. Peer has been in continuous operation since 1922. Its beginnings date back to 1867, when Christian Buehler Sr. entered the meatpacking industry with his own pork-packing and general butchering operation in Peoria, Ill.

In 1965, Manny and his wife, Zenaida, founded Ebro Foods, Inc in Chicago, Illinois, and launched the El Ebro line of products. Specializing in Authentic Cuban, Mexican, and Latin American foods of premium quality, our reputation grew and the Ebro name became synonymous with superior quality. Ebro has been a pioneer in establishing the benchmark for many of the original Hispanic food products manufactured today. Our ability to formulate the highest quality products at the best value, through generations of experience and knowledge, is what we do best. In June of 2005, Ebro expanded to a new facility and celebrated the grand opening of its 112, 000 square foot USDA manufacturing plant in Chicago. Soon thereafter, Ebro introduced the Mexival line of authentic Mexican Style Salsas Packed in Glass, for the retail trade.

Farmington Foods provides consumers with fresh pork that is Lean N Juicy. The company has a line of ready-enhanced pork, which includes cuts such as loin chops, boneless loin chops, baby back ribs, spareribs, pork shoulder and tenderloins. Also, Farmington Foods offers a line of seasoned-marinated boneless pork. Its flavor profiles include favorites like teriyaki, lemon pepper and Italian flavors. Farmington Foods has been in business for more than 30 years and is based in Forest Park, Ill.
