Dr. Marc R. Angerame is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in direct anterior approach total hip replacement, total and partial knee replacement, as well as arthroscopic knee surgery. His areas of focus include direct anterior approach hip and knee replacement, complex, revision hip and knee replacement, arthroscopic knee surgery, and meniscal surgery. He is also interested in hip and knee research. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Loyola University Chicago, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He then pursued his medical degree at Loyola’s Stritch School of Medicine where he graduated Cum Laude with honors in research. For his orthopedic residency, Dr. Angerame spent five years in Charlotte, NC, at Carolinas Medical Center and OrthoCarolina. In addition to working at one of the top 5 busiest trauma centers in the country, he also worked with world-renowned hip and knee reconstruction experts. During fellowship training in Denver, under the tutelage of Dr. Douglas Dennis, he focused on primary (first-time) and complex, revision hip and knee replacements.

He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. He has taught as an associate master instructor for arthroscopic surgery techniques for the Arthroscopy Association of North America in addition to publishing several peer reviewed research articles and presenting didactic lectures. Dr. Goldstein has presented advanced arthroscopic video techniques to practicing surgeons at national meetings as well.Dr. Goldstein has been recognized with hospital distinctions for his compassion and excellence in care of patients and prides himself on having the highest standards of respect and ethics for his patients. Procedures such as arthroscopic rotator cuff repair of the shoulder, meniscal treatment, and ACL reconstruction of the knee are done on an outpatient basis. This minimizes post-operative pain, increases the potential for rehabilitation and can lead to a quicker recovery.In addition to treating patients with sports injuries, Dr. Goldstein also commonly sees patients with work-related injuries to the shoulder, elbow, knee, and ankle. He performs Independent Medical Examinations and is certified to perform Impairment Ratings per the 6th Edition AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment.Dr. Goldstein enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. He is a former national junior tennis player, and still enjoys getting out on the court.
