Justin Gent, MD

Dr. Surbhi Panchal is a board certified orthopedic surgeon and fellowship trained in Hand & Upper extremity surgery. Specializing in disorders and treatment of the hand, wrist, elbow and arm, she supports a balance of conservative and surgical measures to achieve optimal results for each patient. “Achieving this balance means a unique discussion and treatment plan for each patient to ensure the best possible outcome,” she notes. In 2013, after completing hand and upper extremity fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic and MetroHealth Medical Center, Dr. Panchal began her private practice. She is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the Ruth Jackson Society and the American Association for Hand Surgery. Dr. Panchal has conducted research on surgical outcomes of upper extremity patients, has been published in orthopedic peer-reviewed journals, and authored several chapters in medical texts on elbow and hand surgery. During her residency, Dr. Panchal participated in a mission to the Dominican Republic to provide surgical care to local communities lacking access to general orthopedics and specialized upper extremity care.

Fellowship-trained in Shoulder Surgery and Sports Medicine at the University of New South Wales in Australia, Dr. Craig Cummins is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with additional certification in sports medicine—an achievement held by fewer than 5% of orthopedic surgeons. In practice since 2001, he specializes in shoulder disorders and sports-related injuries. He has served as team physician for Barrington and Lake Zurich High Schools and is active in national orthopedic education. Dr. Cummins emphasizes collaborative care, helping patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options to achieve the best outcomes.

Dr. David Schneider is a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation physician with fellowship training in sports and spine medicine. After serving as an Undersea Medical Officer in the Navy, he completed his residency and fellowship. At Illinois Bone & Joint Institute, he treats a range of bone, joint, muscle, and brain conditions in partnership with orthopedic surgeons. His interests include sports injuries and spine care. Dr. Schneider is active in several professional organizations, including past presidency of ISPMR. Outside of medicine, he enjoys running, scuba diving, and time with his two daughters.
