My seafood heaven !!!!Rated Patio #15 by Time Out Chicago on 2010. BYOB. Featured in Chicago's Best Channel 11This sweet little casual place reminds me a of a beach front cafe in Puerto Rico, Mexico or any other place in the caribbean (without the beach). We were welcome with the nicest service and best & the freshest seafood I have had out side of Sri Lanka !!!!Bring your wine/beer and get ready for a feast from the sea that you would never forget for very little money.Great place for a casual dinner with someone you know..I am going back :-)ps, be prepared to get down and dirty with the shrimp, in some dishes they are not peeled, but worth all the work...Guess what else gets the party started here? It's BYOB!!!!!!! People were bringing in bottles of Patron, cases of Modelo, wine...we don't mess around in MCP. They bring out ice buckets to your table to keep those drinks cold, and they have really cool glasses for everything. Everything except wine, which we were give beer cups with ice in them for. That's cool I brought cheap wine anyways!! Yeah!!LA PALAPA What is La Palapa:La Palapa is a Seafood Restaurant!La Palapa is becoming a destination!La Palapa has a very unique menu with some dishes that you can not find anywhere else!La Palapa has a unique theme in Chicago, you don’t find this anywhere else in the city. I had no idea this place even existed until a friend invited me for dinner. I pull up to La Palapa to find a spacious restaurant with cute, lit palm trees outside, reggaeton music blasting through...

Great vibes, and they have live music. Eating outside was a whole experience, especially being right by the highway entrance with so many people walking around. What we ordered: Oysters: They...

The waitress was super friendly and took time to answer our questions about the menu. Food was delicious and portions were huge. Very beachy and laid back vibe.
