The Humane Society of Central Illinois (HSCI) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit animal welfare organization that has been serving the Bloomington-Normal community and surrounding areas since 1984. They care for, house, and provide adoption services for animals in need of forever homes, with over 1,000 animals helped annually through the support of individual donors and dedicated volunteers. The HSCI Pet Adoption Center provides a stress-free and healthy environment for the pets, with each pet group having its own area and large grassy dog runs for exercise and play.

Their vision is for every pet to be properly loved and cared for, and their mission is to find loving, forever homes for abused and unwanted pets. In addition to their staff and volunteers, the HSCI Board of Directors plays a crucial role in ensuring the shelter fulfills its mission. With a passion for animal welfare, the board members bring their expertise and dedication to support the shelter's growth and serve both the animals and families in the community.
