After School Matters, also known as ASM, is a nonprofit organization that provides a range of out-of-school opportunities for teenagers. It offers gallery37, science37, sports37, tech37 and words37 programs. The organization provides more than 600 programs in various schools, libraries and parks in Chicago. After School Matters offers programs in Web site design, digital video production, hardware refurbishing and scientific subjects. It also provides instruction services in a variety of sports activities. The organization offers programs in visual, performing, culinary and media arts. In addition, After School Matters works with community-based organizations. It has partnerships with the City of Chicago, Chicago Park District, Chicago Public Library and Chicago Public Schools.
