History
Originally organized as an cooperative of musicians, the founders of ELASTIC began producing events in 1998 out of a loft in Chinatown. A few years later they moved to 3030, a renovated Pentacostal church in Humboldt Park, and formalized as a non-profit corporation. The Elastic Arts Foundation produced over 500 live music, reading, art, theatre, and multimedia events at 3030 between 2001 and 2005. In four years, 3030 earned a reputation as one of the finest viewing and listening rooms for independent and cutting edge music and performance, in Chicago and beyond. As of spring 2006, EAF has relocated to ELASTIC, a sound and vision gallery located at 2830 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Logan Square. Our mission remains clear - to foster the local community of art and culture through developing and producing creative, non-commercial performances and art events. Aesthetics before markets. For all performances at ELASTIC there is a cover charge varying from $5 - $15.

EAF fosters interest and support for new and under-exposed artists and art forms, providing the public with unique aesthetic and cultural events in an alternative performance environment.
