Lava shack is the best dive bar on the big island. (Note the period) The owner is awesome, the live music is fun, pool tables are plentiful and the crowd is eclectic. It's quintessential Puna.

We were happily surprised to find the Lava Shack on a Tuesday evening. We loved the people, the affordability and the live music. We will return!
