Cobb County Department of Emergency Communications

The Cobb County Finance Department s strategic plan has resulted in upgrades to triple A by some of the nation's top bond rating agencies, placing Cobb in the elite 1 percent of nearly 3,049 counties in the United States. The finance department is responsible for the overall financial services of Cobb County government and adheres to generally accepted accounting principles. The areas of responsibility for the department include measuring and reporting on financial results, managing county debt, vendor payments, maintaining property and inventory records and claims management. Responsibilities also include administering safety and insurance programs, payroll administration, long-range financial planning, federal government regulatory reporting, grant accounting, managing investments and cash and bank reconciliations. The Cobb County Finance Department is located in Marietta, Ga.
