Welcome to Adopt A Greyhound Atlanta, Inc., Atlanta’s oldest Greyhound adoption group dedicated to caring for retired racing Greyhounds and promoting their adoption as loving companions. Our non-profit organization provides food, shelter, and love to these beautiful dogs, primarily from states with Greyhound racing. Once in our care, a Greyhound either finds a forever home or stays with us for life.

With the closure of Greyhound racetracks in Florida in January 2021, we no longer have ex-racers available for adoption. Any future Greyhounds from other states or sources will be updated on our Facebook page. We continue to support adopters and the Greyhound community by offering guidance on the care of these incredible dogs.

It is essential to be cautious when donating to Greyhound welfare organizations post-racing ban in Florida. The closure of tracks has led to the successful rehoming of all Greyhounds, showcasing the community's support and care.
