Tykes & Teens Inc

Tykes & Teens is a nonprofit organization that provides community-based mental health services to children, adolescents and their families. Founded in 1995, it has served more than 4,000 children and teens by providing nearly 70,000 counseling sessions. The organization offers outpatient programs for the victims of physical, emotional and sexual abuse. Tykes & Teens operates Sisters of Determination, a group for preadolescent and adolescent girls that focuses on pregnancy prevention through building self-esteem and assertiveness. It also offers a program that teaches skills to manage anger to young children and teens. In addition, the organization operates the Dealing with Family Sexual Abuse, which is a support and education group for nonoffending parents. Tykes & Teens is located in Stuart, Fla.
