Established in 1959, Palm Beach Habilitation Center is a private, nonprofit agency that maintains a more than 10-acre campus and over 250 additional work sites. It maintains a work operations division that has a computer lab that offers training in various software applications, including data entry, graphic design and several operating systems. Palm Beach Habilitation Center also supports several recreational activities through cooking and grooming classes and visits to cultural and entertainment events. It receives funds from the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners, Florida Department of Children and Families, Palm Beach County School District and Agency for Persons with Disabilities. The center is located in Lake Worth, Fla.

Tykes & Teens is a nonprofit organization that provides community-based mental health services to children, adolescents and their families. Founded in 1995, it has served more than 4,000 children and teens by providing nearly 70,000 counseling sessions. The organization offers outpatient programs for the victims of physical, emotional and sexual abuse. Tykes & Teens operates Sisters of Determination, a group for preadolescent and adolescent girls that focuses on pregnancy prevention through building self-esteem and assertiveness. It also offers a program that teaches skills to manage anger to young children and teens. In addition, the organization operates the Dealing with Family Sexual Abuse, which is a support and education group for nonoffending parents. Tykes & Teens is located in Stuart, Fla.
