Sanford Police Department

The Sanford Police Department is a multifaceted law enforcement team certified by the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation. It has more than 120 sworn officers and over 25 civilian employees. The department operates nearly five stations and is located in Sanford, Fla. It is structured into specialized traffic, school resource, investigation and patrol units. The Sanford Police Department also employs special tactical and drug interdiction officers. It works with the community to address crime issues and solve problems in city neighborhoods. The department additionally operates a volunteer team that enhances vital crime prevention services through proactive law enforcement principles.
