The Cape Canaveral Space Force Museum, formerly known as the Air Force Space and Missile Museum, has been captivating millions of visitors since 1966 with its rich history of rocketry and space flight. Their mission is to collect, restore, and exhibit significant artifacts related to the development and heritage of U.S. Space Force space launch activities. With museum facilities at Launch Complex 26, Launch Complex 5 6, and the Sands Space History Center, they offer a comprehensive exploration of the space program's history.

Passionate about sharing the story of the Space Force's space and missile programs, the museum showcases a wide range of exhibits and artifacts, including missiles, rockets, payload reentry vehicles, and support hardware. Visitors can plan their visit to the museum facilities, which require certified tours, or explore the Sands Space History Center, located just outside the gate and open to the public free of charge. With upcoming launches and activities on the Space Coast, the museum also provides resources and schedules for those interested in witnessing space expeditions firsthand.

Amazing history here and a very knowledgeable tour person. Pictures, displays, and a gift shop. Plan to spend about an hour or 1.5 if you read everything.

Friendly helpful staff and neat pics and historical items to look at. Worth a quick stop if you're passing through. They even have some activities to get kids engaged with the displays.
